Removal Procedure





Caution: An electric fan under the hood can start up even when the engine is not running and can injure you. Keep hands, clothing and tools away from any underhood electric fan.

Caution: To help avoid personal Injury or damage to the vehicle, a bent, cracked, or damaged fan blade or housing should always be replaced.

Important: If abnormal noise or vibration is felt from the engine compartment, inspect and clean any foreign material from the cooling fan blades.

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the cooling fans with the cooling fan shroud.
3. Remove the cooling fan nut.
4. Remove the cooling fan.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the cooling fan.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the cooling fan nut.
^ Tighten the nut to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
3. Install the cooling fans with the cooling fan shroud.
