Hood Latch Support Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the electrical harness from the hood latch support bracket.
3. Remove the hood latch from the hood latch support bracket. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement).




4. Remove the 4 bolts from the hood latch support bracket.




5. Reposition the hood latch release cable from the hood latch support bracket.
6. Remove the hood latch support bracket from the upper radiator tie bar.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the hood latch support bracket to the upper radiator tie bar.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the 4 bolts to the hood latch support bracket.

Tighten the hood latch support bracket bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).




3. Reposition the hood latch release cable to the hood latch support bracket.
4. Install the hood latch to the hood latch support bracket. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement).
5. Adjust the hood, if required. Refer to Hood Adjustment (Adjustments).
6. Connect the electrical harness to the hood latch support bracket.
7. Close the hood.
