Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the left IP Insulator Panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair) in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
2. Remove the knee bolster panel. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair) in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.




3. Remove the bolts from the hood release handle base.




4. Remove the hood release cable from the hood release handle.
5. Remove the hood release handle from the instrument panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the hood release cable to the hood release handle.




2. Install the hood release handle to the instrument panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the bolts to hood release handle base.

Tighten the hood release handle base bolts to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

4. Install the knee bolster panel. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair) in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
5. Install the left IP Insulator Panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair) in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
