Circuit Description

AWD DISABLE indicator lamp is located in Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). Ignition 1 voltage is supplied to IPC when ignition switch is in START or RUN position. When Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives a signal from differential clutch pump actuator check valve indicating an overtemp condition or a signal from ABS controller indicating a speed differential between wheels, AWD system will be disabled. PCM then sends a class 2 serial data signal to IPC illuminating AWD DISABLE indicator.
