Brake System Indicator(S)

Brake Warning Indicator - IPC illuminates brake indicator when following occurs:

• Body Control Module (BCM) detects that park brake is engaged. IPC receives a class 2 serial data message from BCM requesting illumination. If vehicle is shifted out of park with park brake engaged and a class 2 serial data message is received indicating that vehicle speed is greater than 3 MPH, BCM sends a class 2 serial data message to radio in activating audible warning.
• IPC performs displays bulb test at start of each ignition cycle. Indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds.

Low Brake Fluid Indicator - IPC illuminates low brake fluid indicator in message center when IPC receives a low signal from low brake fluid switch. IPC sends a class 2 serial data message to radio activating an audible warning.
