DTC B2838, B3564, B3569, or B3752: Driver Information Center (DIC) Switch Circuit: Description

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) monitors Driver Information Center (DIC) mode switch and DIC reset switch in order to perform certain functions. IPC detects a switch activation when signal circuit is low.

DTC B2838 sets when, IPC detects that reset switch signal circuit is low for 60 seconds or more.

DTC B3564 sets when, IPC detects that mode switch signal circuit is low for 60 seconds or more.

When DTC sets, IPC ignores DIC mode switch or DIC reset switch.

A current DTC B3564 or B2838 will clear after a complete ignition cycle if fault is no longer present. IPC receives clear code command from scan tool.
