DTC B2823: Trip Odometer Reset Switch Circuit Low: Description

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) contains a momentary switch that controls trip odometer reset and trip season display options. IPC monitors circuit voltage levels and detects when trip odometer reset switch has been depressed.

DTC sets when, IPC detects that trip reset switch input is low (grounded) for greater than 60 seconds.

When DTC sets, IPC will disable trip reset switch.

A history DTC B2823 will clear after a complete ignition cycle. IPC receives clear code command from scan tool.
