Description & Operation - Instrument Panel Cluster: Tachometer

IPC displays engine speed as determined by PCM. IPC receives a class 2 serial data message from PCM indicating engine speed. Tachometer will default to 0 RPM if PCM detects a malfunction in engine speed sensor signal circuit.
