Fasten Safety Belt Indicator

IPC illuminates fasten safety belt indicator when following occurs:

• Inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) detects that driver's seat belt is unbuckled. IPC receives a class 2 serial data message from SDM requesting illumination. IPC illuminates indicator for 20 seconds and then flashes indicator for 55 seconds. IPC also sends a class 2 serial data message to radio activating audible warning.
• If seat belt is unfastened and indicator times out due to shifting vehicle into gear, then indicator will be on for 20 seconds and then indicator will flash for 55 seconds.
• If driver unfastens driver seat belt anytime during ignition cycle indicator turns on for 20 seconds and followed by indicator flashing for 55 seconds.
