Change Engine Oil

IPC illuminates change engine oil indicator in message center when PCM determines that engine oil should be changed. IPC receives a class 2 serial data message from PCM requesting illumination. Once oil is changed, engine oil monitor reset procedure needs to be performed. See SERVICE REMINDER INDICATORS article in GENERAL INFORMATION. IPC sends a class 2 serial data message to radio activating an audible warning.
