Air Bag Indicator

The IPC illuminates the air bag indicator when the following occurs:

• Inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) detects a malfunction with supplemental inflatable restraint system.
• IPC receives a class 2 serial data message from SDM requesting illumination. IPC performs bulb display test at start of each ignition cycle. IPC flashes air bag indicator 7 times.
