Oil Life Left

Oil life left percentage is based on information DIC receives from a class 2 serial data message from PCM. DIC displays current percentage of GM Oil Life System. When oil needs changing change engine oil indicator in message center turns on. When engine oil is changed engine oil indicator needs to be cleared out of message center and oil life left needs to be reset. See MAINTENANCE REMINDER LIGHTS article in GENERAL INFORMATION. While in this mode press and hold SET button until 100 percentage is displayed.
