SECURITY Indicator Stays Illuminated and Engine Starts

If theft deterrent control module was unable to measure ignition key transponder value or powertrain control module lost communication with theft deterrent control module while engine was last running, SECURITY indicator will remain illuminated during subsequent ignition cycles. This is to remind driver that vehicle theft deterrent system will not be functioning until problem is corrected. Vehicle is fail enabled and will start.
