Coolant Temperature Gauge Always Reads Cold Or Hot

Using scan tool, perform coolant temperature gauge sweep test. If coolant temperature gauge changes from cold to hot, go to appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If coolant temperature gauge does not change from cold to hot, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
