Coolant Temperature Gauge Always Reads Hot

Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If gauge indicates cold, replace sender/switch. If gauge indicates hot, Dark Green wire is shorted to ground. If wire is okay, replace IPC or coolant temperature gauge.
