Oil Pressure Gauge Always Reads Low

Check oil level. Check oil pressure using a mechanical gauge. Disconnect oil pressure sender connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If gauge indicates high, replace oil pressure sender. If gauge still indicates low, check for short to ground in Tan wire. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
