Indicator Does Not Come On

  1. Start engine while monitoring CHECK GAUGES indicator. If CHECK GAUGES indicator does turn on for about one second, go to next step. If CHECK GAUGES indicator did not turn on for about one second, replace CHECK GAUGES bulb. Cycle ignition off, then on again. If indicator does not turn on, replace instrument cluster.
  2. Check for a problem with charging system, coolant temperature or oil pressure. If no problem is found, system is operating normally. If a problem is found, repair appropriate system as necessary.
