Combination Valve: Installation

  1. Lubricate NEW "O" rings with clean brake fluid. Set "O" rings into position. Install NEW transfer tubes into ports on ABS modulator, pressing tubes by hand until bottomed in bore. See Figure .
  2. Holding combination valve, rock it into position on ABS modulator, inserting transfer tubes into combination valve ports. Lubricate NEW banjo bolt "O" rings. Install banjo bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. With ABS modulator upside down (gears facing up), rotate each gear counterclockwise until stopped. This positions pistons close to top of modulator bore, simplifying brake bleeding procedure. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Bleed brake system. See ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM article.
