Preferred Method

  1. Before bleeding system, use Tech 1 scan tool to place hydraulic modulator/motor pack assembly displacement cylinder pistons in upper position. To position pistons, connect Tech 1 scan tool to DLC, and select F5 (motor rehome) function.
  2. Ensure enable relay is on. Apply front and rear motor. Pistons should return to upper position. Bleed entire system using either manual bleeding, or pressure bleeding procedure. If Tech 1 scan tool is not available, see ALTERNATE METHOD  .
CAUTION: Use alternate method only if ABS warning light is NOT on and no DTCs are present. Follow procedure exactly. DO NOT place foot on brake pedal unless directed to do so.
