Knuckle Assembly: Installation

  1. Connect knuckle to strut, but DO NOT fully tighten nuts. Apply Thread Locker (GM 1052624 ) to bolt securing front lateral link to knuckle. Connect front lateral link to knuckle, but DO NOT fully tighten bolt.
  2. Connect trailing link to knuckle. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install hub and bearing assembly. Connect ABS electrical connector (if equipped). Install rotor and brake caliper. Align scribe marks at strut and knuckle, and tighten nuts.
  3. Remove spring compressor. Install exhaust system (if removed). Install jack pad. Apply thread locker to bolt securing rear lateral link to knuckle. Connect rear lateral link to knuckle, and tighten bolt. Install wheel. If new struts were installed, check wheel alignment.
