Wheel Bearing: Notes

NOTE: Hub and bearing assembly is sealed and requires no maintenance or adjustment Replace as a complete assembly.
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Move brake pads away from rotor or remove caliper. Install 2 wheel nuts to secure rotor.
  2. Mount dial indicator to knuckle or strut and position indicator stem to rest against hub. Push inward on rotor or hub. Adjust indicator to zero. Pull outward and note reading. Replace hub and bearing assembly if movement exceeds .005" (.13 mm).
