Removal & Installation: Thermostat: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure.
  2. Tighten housing bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m).
  3. Tighten engine mount/strut nuts to 35 lb ft (48 N.m).
  4. Fill cooling system with appropriate mix of water and coolant.
  5. Start the engine. After the engine reaches normal operating temperature, check for coolant leaks.
