Intake Manifold (Lower): Removal

  1. Remove upper intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD (UPPER) . Disconnect feed and return lines from fuel rail. Plug openings to prevent contamination. Disconnect fuel injector electrical connectors. Disconnect vacuum line from pressure regulator.
  2. Remove 4 bolts and fuel rail. Disconnect radiator hose from thermostat housing. Disconnect temperature sensor electrical connector. Remove heater pipe nut at throttle body. Remove bolts, lower intake manifold, and gaskets. If necessary, remove vent hose, bolts, oil distribution cover, and gasket.
