Engine Oil Cooler Assembly: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING . Raise and support vehicle. Place drain pan below engine to catch any fluids. Disconnect oil pressure and crank sensor electrical connectors.
  2. Remove oil filter. Disconnect inlet and outlet hoses, and position hoses aside. Remove connector, oil cooler and adapter. See Figure.
