Removal (Except "F" Body 5.7L)

Remove or reposition coolant reservoir (if necessary). Remove drive belt. Remove pump pulley (if necessary). Refer to the POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY . Remove idler pulley (if necessary). Disconnect pressure line from pump, and plug all openings. On vehicles with pump adapter, disconnect return line from pump adapter using Quick Connect Separator (J-36391). On all vehicles, remove pump mounting bolts. Remove pump adapter (if equipped). Remove pump.
