Power steering pump is designated as CB series or TC series. For a view of CB series, see Figure. For an exploded view of the TC series pump, see Figure. These units are constant displacement vane-type pumps. Some pump applications have remote fluid reservoirs to enable different pump mounting locations for engines with or without A/C compressors. When pressure exceeds set limits, a flow control pressure relief valve opens, allowing fluid to return to the inlet side of the pump.
