Action Taken

DERM turns on AIR BAG warning light and sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).

1. Checks whether fault is occurring in steering column circuit.
2. Checks whether fault is occurring in passenger inflator module circuit.
   WARNING: To avoid air bag deployment and injury when trouble shooting system, only use test equipment specified in diagnostic charts. Under no circumstances should battery powered test equipment or test light be used. Carefully follow all instructions.

3. Checks for short from high side of driver deployment loop to voltage.
4. Checks for short from high side of passenger deployment loop to voltage.
5. Checks for short from low side of driver and passenger deployment loops to voltage.
