Action Taken

DERM turns on AIR BAG warning light and sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart. For circuit number identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  1. Checks if fault is in passenger inflator module or DERM.
  2. Checks for malfunction in circuit No. 1403A.
  3. Checks whether malfunction is in passenger inflator module or passenger inflator module jumper.
