Oil Pan: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air intake duct. Raise and support vehicle. Drain crankcase. Drain coolant. Remove oil level sensor. Disconnect exhaust crossover pipe from manifolds. Disengage exhaust pipe from hanger, and reposition pipe.
  2. Reposition engine oil cooler hose. Disengage transmission fluid cooler lines from clips at oil pan (A/T). Remove starter. Remove fly-wheel cover. Remove engine mount through-bolts. Lift engine from above. Remove oil pan and gasket.
