Oil Pressure Gauge Always Reads High

  1. Disconnect fuel pump switch/oil pressure sender connector. Using fused jumper wire, connect terminal "A" (Tan wire) of oil pressure sender to ground. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
  2. If gauge indicates low oil pressure, replace oil pressure sender. If gauge indicates high oil pressure, check for open circuit in Tan wire. If wire is okay, replace IPC.
