Oil Pressure Gauge Accuracy Test

  1. Disconnect fuel pump switch/oil pressure sender connector. Connect one Red lead of Gauge Tester (J-33431) to terminal "A" (Tan wire) of fuel pump switch/oil pressure sender connector and other Red lead to ground.
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Set resistance dials on tester to zero ohms, 40 ohms and then 100 ohms. If oil pressure gauge indicates low and then high pressure, replace oil pressure sensor. If oil pressure gauge shows no change, check Tan wire for high resistance. If wire is okay, replace coolant temperature/oil pressure gauge assembly.
