Coolant Temperature Gauge Always Indicates Cold

  1. Disconnect temperature gauge sending unit connector. Jumper Dark Green or Dark Green/White wire to ground. Turn ignition on. If temperature gauge reads hot, replace temperature gauge sending unit.
  2. If temperature gauge does not read hot, check Dark Green, Dark Green/White and/or White/Black wire for open circuit or poor connection. If wires and connections are okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
