Service Engine Soon Light

SERVICE ENGINE SOON light should come on when ignition is on and engine is not running. If light comes on while engine is running, the self-diagnostic system has detected a problem, and a trouble code will be stored in the Electronic Control Module (ECM). Vehicle should be serviced as soon as possible.
