Removal (Eldorado, Riviera and Seville)
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. If working on left control arm, disconnect ELC height sensor link. On all models, remove stabilizer bar mounting bolt at strut.
- Install 2 lug nuts to secure rotor. Remove brake caliper assembly. Loosen but DO NOT remove outer knuckle pivot bolt. Use jackstand to support outer end of control arm, and slightly compress spring. Remove strut rod cap, mounting nut, retainer and upper insulator.
- Slowly release jackstand pressure. Compress strut by hand. Remove lower insulator. Remove anti-lock brake system (ABS) wheel speed sensor from knuckle. Support knuckle, and remove knuckle pivot bolt. Remove knuckle, strut, hub and rotor assembly from vehicle. Remove inner control arm bolts. Remove control arm.
