Lower Ball Joint (Bonneville, DeVille/Sixty-Special, Eighty-Eight, LeSabre, Ninety-Eight, Park Avenue)

1. Inspect ball joint stud for looseness. If looseness exists, replace ball joint and steering knuckle.
2. Position vehicle at normal operating height. Ensure ball joint grease fitting shoulder extends past ball joint housing cover. See Fig 1 . Replace ball joint if grease fitting is even with or below cover.
