Code 82 - Passenger Ignition Diode Open: Description

DERM checks dual pole arming sensor for an open passenger ignition diode once each ignition cycle during TURN-ON tests before either 36VLR output is active. This fault can be detected only shortly after key on, provided energy reserve capacitor voltage is less than ignition voltage. If neither failure nor clear conditions are met, state of fault during previous ignition cycle is used. Code 82 indicates an open passenger ignition diode or a short between PASS SOURCE SENSE circuit and either DRIVER 36VLR or PASSENGER 36VLR circuit.
