Code 43 (Chart 2) - Driver Source Feed Low: Description

Code 43 sets when failure conditions are met during DERM CONTINUOUS MONITORING tests. Tests are performed for one second after initial TURN-ON tests are completed and every 100 milliseconds while IGNITION 1 voltage is present at DERM. CONTINUOUS MONITORING tests check both deployment loops for continuity from DERM's 36VLR outputs through dual pole arming sensor, inflator modules, SIR coil and discriminating sensors to ground. Code 43 indicates an open, short to ground or short to 5 volts on DRIVER SOURCE SENSE circuit or a fault in dual pole arming sensors's DRIVER SOURCE SENSE circuitry.
