Code 35 (Chart 1) - Discriminating Sensor Open Or Missing: Description
Code 35 sets when failure conditions are met during Diagnostic Energy Reserve Module (DERM) CONTINUOUS MONITORING tests. Tests are performed for one second after initial TURN-ON tests are completed and every 100 milliseconds while IGNITION 1 voltage is present at DERM. CONTINUOUS MONITORING test check both deployment loops for continuity from DERM's 36VLR outputs through dual pole arming sensor, inflator modules, SIR coil and discriminating sensors to ground. Code 35 indicates an open in DRIVER SENSE LOW circuit between 2 discriminating sensors, an open ground to either discriminating sensor or an open/high resistance in one discriminating sensor.
