DERM turns on INFLATABLE RESTRAINT indicator light.

WARNING:
To avoid air bag deployment while troubleshooting the SIR system, only use test equipment specified in diagnostic charts. Under no circumstances should battery powered test equipment or test light be used. Carefully follow all instructions.
- Checks forward discriminating sensor for proper resistance.
- Checks for an open in ground circuit No. 1003 to forward discriminating sensor.
- Checks for proper terminal contact at forward discriminating sensor connector.
- Checks passenger compartment discriminating sensor for proper resistance.
