Action Taken
Diagnostic Energy Reserve Module (DERM) turns on INFLATABLE RESTRAINT indicator light.

Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart. For circuit number identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS.
WARNING:
To avoid air bag deployment while trouble shooting SIR system, only use test equipment specified in diagnostic charts. Under no circumstances should battery powered test equipment or test light be used. Carefully follow all instructions.
- Checks if fault is in lower column connectors or associated wiring.
- Checks if fault is in upper column connectors or associated wiring.
- Determines whether fault is on deployment loop side or DERM side of resistor module.
- Determines if circuit No. 347 and 349 are shorted together.
- Determines if fault is in dual sensor or wiring harness.
