Valve Lifters: Installation

  1. Install lifters. Dip the valve lifters in prelube GM P/N 1052365 or equivalent before installation.
  2. Install lifter guides. Install guide retainer. Tighten bolts to 37 N.m (27 lb.ft.).
  3. Install pushrods. Install rocker arms pedestals, and bolts. Apply thread lock compound GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent to bolt threads before assembly. Tighten to 25 N.M + 70 degrees (19 lb.ft. + 70 degrees).
  4. Install intake manifold and gaskets. Install rocker arm covers and gaskets.
