Intake Manifold (Upper): Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove fuel injector sight shield and air intake duct. Remove spark plug wires on right side of engine and set aside.
  2. Remove fuel rail. Remove exhaust heat shield and cable bracket to cylinder head mounting bolt. Remove upper intake manifold bolts, and manifold.
