Fuel Pressure Release
- Disconnect negative battery cable terminal to avoid possible fuel discharge if an additional attempt is made to start the engine.
- Loosen fuel tank filler cap to relieve tank vapor pressure.
- Connect Fuel Pressure Gauge J-34730-1 to fuel line fitting. Wrap shop towel around fitting to absorb leakage.
- Place gauge bleed hose into an approved container and open bleed valve to release pressure. Fuel connections are now safe for servicing.
- Drain any fuel remaining in gauge into an approved container.
