Cylinder Head: Removal

  1. Remove intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove exhaust manifold. See EXHAUST MANIFOLD under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Remove rocker arm cover. See ROCKER ARM COVERS &/OR GASKET under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Remove electronic ignition and spark plug wires. Disconnect the generator bracket, one A/C compressor bracket bolt, the power steering pump, and the belt tension assembly.
  5. Remove the fuel pipe heat shield. Remove the rocker arm assemblies and pushrods. See ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  6. Remove the cylinder head bolts and cylinder head
