Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal: Removal
- Remove transaxle. See appropriate article in the CLUTCHES Section or in the AUTOMATIC TRANS SERVICE Section.
- Remove flywheel. See FLYWHEEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Confirm rear seal leak.
- Insert a screwdriver or similar tool in through the dust lip at an angle. Pry seal out by moving the handle of the tool towards the end of the crankshaft pilot. Repeat as required around the seal until seal is removed.
NOTE:
Care must be taken not to damage crankshaft OD surface or chamfer with pry tool.
