Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Installation

  1. Install camshaft. Coat the camshaft with prelube GM P/N 1052365 or equivalent before installation.
  2. Install camshaft thrust plate. Install timing chain and sprockets.
  3. Install front cover. Install crankshaft sensor. Install crankshaft sensor cover.
  4. Install crankshaft balancer. Install valve lifters. Dip the valve lifters in prelube GM P/N 1052365 or equivalent before installation.
  5. Install pushrods, rocker arms, rocker arm covers, intake manifold, and engine.
