Camshaft Bearings: Removal

  1. Remove camshaft. See CAMSHAFT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove camshaft rear plug. Using J 33049 (Camshaft Bearing Remover/Installer), assemble tool according to manufacturer's recommendations.
  3. Remove camshaft bearings.
NOTE: Never reuse camshaft bearings once they have been removed. Always install new bearings.
