Balance Shaft: Inspection

Inspect the balance shaft drive gear and the camshaft drive gear for nicks and burrs. Inspect components for damage. Measure bearing bore I.D. Replace components if I.D. is not within specification. See BALANCE SHAFT SPECIFICATIONS table.
