Camshaft Bearings: Installation

  1. Select and install front, rear and intermediate camshaft bearings. Assemble installation tool according to manufacturer's recommendations. Place bearing on tool. Index bearing oil holes with cylinder block oil passages.
  2. Install camshaft plug. Apply sealer GM P/N 1052914 or equivalent to the plug before installing.
  3. Install camshaft.
