BRAKE Light Stays On With Ignition On & Parking Brake Released
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Release parking brake. Disconnect brake fluid level switch connector. If BRAKE light is on, go to next step. If BRAKE light is off, check brake fluid level. If brake fluid level is okay, replace brake fluid level switch.
- Disconnect parking brake switch connector. If BRAKE light is off, replace parking brake switch. If BRAKE light is on, repair short to ground in Tan/White wire between instrument cluster and the following components: parking brake switch, ignition switch, EBCM and brake fluid level switch.
